For those who have never taken Pilates before. This is your chance to take an easy,
fun introduction to this exercise program that is sweeping the country. As Joseph
Pilates said, “You’ll feel better in ten sessions, look better in 20 sessions, and have
a completely new body in 30 sessions.”
Pilates I focuses on developing strong core, abdominal and gluteal muscles.
Students will learn to correctly perform “The Basic 10” mat exercises and to learn
the transition from one exercise to the next. Exercises are modified to meet the
fitness levels of individual students.
This course is for intermediate level students, who have previously participated in
Pilates I. Students learn additional mat exercises and more difficult variations of old
For advanced students who have participated in Pilates II. Pilates III emphasizes
the flow of movement between exercises, and achieving increased control,
flexibility, strength, and coordination.
